Huntington North Vikings (Huntington, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bellmont Braves (Decatur, IN), 6-2 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now sport a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Haven for a challenge on Tuesday, May 16. Huntington North will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Bellmont (Decatur, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Bellmont falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Braves host East Noble (Kendallville, IN) to face the Knights in a challenge on Monday, May 15. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-5.
