Bristol Eastern Lancers (Bristol, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Plainville Blue Devils (Plainville, CT), 11-6 in a league challenge.

The Lancers now own a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lewis Mills for a Central Connecticut - South challenge on Saturday, May 13. Bristol Eastern will face a Spartans squad coming off a 13-1 league loss to Platt (Meriden, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Plainville falls to 14-3 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Lewis Mills (Burlington, CT) to face the Spartans in a Central Connecticut - South challenge on Monday, May 15.
