Central Catholic Fighting Irish (Toledo, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Fostoria Redmen (Fostoria, OH), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Fighting Irish now own a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they host Findlay for a Three Rivers Athletic challenge on Monday, May 15. Central Catholic will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 14-4 league win over Clay (Oregon, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 10-9.

With the loss, Fostoria falls to 0-17 on the campaign.
