Danbury Hatters (Danbury, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Westhill Vikings (Stamford, CT), 6-1 in a league challenge.

The Hatters now sport a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ludlowe for a Fairfield County challenge on Monday, May 15. Danbury will face a Falcons squad coming off a 16-0 league win over New Canaan (New Canaan, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 17-1.

With the loss, Westhill falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT) to face the Tigers in a Fairfield County challenge on Monday, May 15. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 14-3. Ridgefield won 6-3 in their recent league challenge against St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT)
