Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host St. Dominic Saints (Lewiston, ME), 13-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Black Bears now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount View for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 15. Maranacook will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 14-9 non-league loss to Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, St. Dominic falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Saints host North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME) to battle the Panthers in a Class D South challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 7-0.
