New York High School Softball - Peru bounces Moriah

The Peru Nighthawks routed the host Moriah Vikings softball squad by a count of 20-3 in Friday's league battle.
The Nighthawks (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY). The Sentinels go into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Ticonderoga topped Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY), 17-2, in a league battle.
The Vikings now sport a 1-10 record. They play next when they host Northern Adirondack for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I battle on Monday, May 15. Moriah will encounter a Bobcats team coming off a 14-8 league loss to AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-6.
