Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) and the host Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), witnessed Naugatuck's softball squad tip Pomperaug by a count of 4-0.

The Greyhounds now sport a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to Wolcott for a non-league match on Monday, May 15. Naugatuck will face a Eagles squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Watertown (Watertown, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, Pomperaug moves to 11-7 on the season. The Panthers host Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT) to face the Lancers in a Southwest - Patriot match on Saturday, May 13. The Lancers go into the match with a record of 10-7. Notre Dame Catholic won 11-1 in their recent non-league match against O'Brien RVT (Ansonia, CT)
