Virginia High School Baseball - Granby edges Nansemond River

The Granby Comets baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Nansemond River Warriors to 2 in the Comets non-league win on Monday.
The Comets now hold a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Booker T. Washington for a Eastern test on Tuesday, May 13. Granby will play a Mighty Bookers team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Norview (Norfolk, VA). The Mighty Bookers record now stands at 0-9.
With the defeat, Nansemond River drops to 7-12 on the year. The Warriors travel to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Hawks in a Southeastern test on Tuesday, May 13. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 12-5. Hickory won 2-1 in their recent league test against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA)
