In Monday's league game, the visiting St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans baseball team scored a close 5-4 win over the North Plainfield Canucks.
The Trojans (13-5) will now prepare for their game against J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ). The Hawks go into the non-league game with a 6-14 record. In their last game, J.P. Stevens nudged Perth Amboy Vo-Tech (Perth Amboy, NJ), 13-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Canucks play the Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 16. North Plainfield will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Pioneers go into the game with a 10-9 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to Rutgers Prep (Somerset, NJ).
