The Sussex Central Tigers nipped the host Petersburg Crimson Wave baseball squad by a score of 1-0 in Monday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Tigers battle the Brunswick Bulldogs (Lawrenceville, VA) in a Tri-Rivers outing, on Thursday, May 15. Sussex Central will attempt to advance on its 10-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a 3-8 record after their 18-0 league loss to Surry County (Dendron, VA).
The Crimson Wave (2-11) will now prepare for their outing against Hopewell (Hopewell, VA). The Blue Devils come into the Central outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Hopewell tipped Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA), 14-6, in a league outing.
