Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Bishop Seabury Academy Seahawks (Lawrence, KS) and the host Independent Panthers (Wichita, KS), saw Bishop Seabury Academy's soccer squad hold off Independent by a count of 2-1.

The Seahawks (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Ward (Kansas City, KS). The Cyclones enter the non-league battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Bishop Ward was edged by Kansas City Christian School (Prairie Village, KS), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Panthers battle the Chanute Blue Comets (Chanute, KS) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 15. Independent will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Blue Comets enter the battle with a 2-12 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Circle (Towanda, KS).
