Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) backers exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA), 5-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Solon advances its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to East Marshall (Le Grand, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 13. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 0-11. East Marshall lost 7-1 in their recent non-league test against Grinnell (Grinnell, IA)

The Defenders now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monticello for a non-league test on Monday, May 19. Marquette will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 0-11.
