Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA) and the visiting Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA), saw Mechanicsville's soccer squad prevail over Matoaca by a count of 5-1.

The Mustangs (10-2) will now prepare for their battle against New Kent (New Kent, VA). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 3-10 record. In their last battle, New Kent by Warhill (Williamsburg, VA), 9-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Warriors battle the Thomas Dale Knights (Chester, VA) in a Central battle, on Thursday, May 15. Matoaca will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 2-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA).
