Rhode Island High School Softball - Cranston West bounces Ponaganset

May 12, 2025: Cranston, RI 02920

The Cranston West Falcons softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains to 2 in the Falcons league win on Monday.

The Falcons now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prout for a Division 1 battle on Tuesday, May 13. Cranston West will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 12-0 league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Ponaganset moves to 4-9 on the season. The Chieftains host Cumberland (Cumberland, RI) to confront the Clippers in a Division 1 battle on Tuesday, May 13. The Clippers come into the battle with a record of 1-13. Cumberland lost 9-1 in their recent league battle against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI)
