The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Pana Panthers (Pana, IL) and the host Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL), observed Pana's softball team notch a victory over Litchfield by a final score of 13-1.

The Panthers (13-10) will now prepare for their bout against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Vandals go into the South Central bout with a 7-16 record. In their last bout, Vandalia gained a win over Ramsey (Ramsey, IL), 17-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Purple Panthers battle the Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 13. Litchfield will attempt to better on its 9-14 season record. The Hiltoppers go into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 6-1 league loss to Staunton (Staunton, IL).
