The Oak Lawn Spartans softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Thornton Fractional North Meteors to 1 in the Spartans league win on Monday.

The Spartans now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blue Island Eisenhower for a South Suburban battle on Tuesday, May 13. Oak Lawn will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 16-1 league loss to Lemont (Lemont, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 9-17.

With the loss, Thornton Fractional North moves to 3-18 on the season. The Meteors travel to Lemont (Lemont, IL) to confront the Lemont HS in a South Suburban battle on Tuesday, May 13. The Lemont HS come into the battle with a record of 20-7. Lemont won 10-0 in their recent non-league battle against Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL)
