The Oneida Express got by the visiting Proctor Raiders softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Monday's league challenge.
Next, the Express meet the Holland Patent Golden Knights (Holland Patent, NY) in a Section 3 Tri-Valley challenge, on Tuesday, May 13. Oneida will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Golden Knights go into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 14-1 league loss to Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (Verona, NY).
The Raiders (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against New Hartford (New Hartford, NY). The Spartans go into the Section 3 Tri-Valley challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, New Hartford was nudged by Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, NY), 7-5, in a non-league challenge.
