The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the St. Francis Fighting Saints (St. Francis, MN) and the visiting Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN), observed St. Francis's softball team get by Orono by a final score of 6-0.

The Fighting Saints (14-3) will now prepare for their bout against Becker (Becker, MN). The Bulldogs go into the Mississippi 8 bout with a 7-6 record. In their last bout, Becker was routed by Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN), 9-8, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Zimmerman Thunder (Zimmerman, MN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, May 14. Orono will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN).
