Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Cheney RVT Beavers (Manchester, CT), 8-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Shepaug Valley upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Terryville (Terryville, CT) to battle the Kangaroos in a Berkshire test on Monday, May 16. The Kangaroos come into the test with a record of 4-12.

With the defeat, Cheney RVT falls to 7-10 on the season. The Beavers host Windham RVT (Willimantic, CT) to battle the Mighty Tigers in a non-league test on Monday, May 16. The Mighty Tigers come into the test with a record of 8-9. Windham RVT lost 9-6 in their recent non-league test against Goodwin Tech (New Britain, CT)
