In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Van Buren Pointers baseball team scored a tight 4-3 victory over the Jonesboro Hurricane.
The Pointers (17-4) will now prepare for their game against Batesville (Batesville, AR). The Pioneers go into the non-league game with a 16-9 record. In their last game, Batesville tipped Sylvan Hills (Sherwood, AR), 13-8, in a non-league game.
