The Giles Spartans soccer team (Pearisburg, VA), was nipped 1-0 in Friday's non-league outing with the visiting Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA)
With the win, Radford advances its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to James River (Buchanan, VA) to play the Knights in a Three Rivers outing on Wednesday, May 18. The Knights go into the outing with a record of 7-4.
In their next game, the Spartans play the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a Mountain Empire outing, on Monday, May 16. Giles will attempt to advance on its 9-6 season record.
