Indiana High School Softball - Jennings County can't hold off Avon

The Avon Orioles softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Jennings County Panthers to 5 in the Orioles non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Avon moves its record to 15-7 on the year. The Orioles host Westfield (Westfield, IN) to clash with the Shamrocks in a Hoosier Crossroads game on Tuesday, May 17. The Shamrocks come into the game with a record of 14-7.
In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Charlestown Pirates (Charlestown, IN) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 14. Jennings County will attempt to move on its 9-15 season record. The Pirates come into the game with a 12-7 record after their 9-2 league win over Eastern (Pekin, IN).
