Mayflower Eagles (Mayflower, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bald Knob Bulldogs (Bald Knob, AR), 16-9 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 15-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Atkins for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 14. Mayflower will battle a Red Devils squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Booneville (Booneville, AR). The Red Devils record now stands at 14-4.
With the loss, Bald Knob falls to 5-8 on the campaign.
