Indiana High School Softball - Speedway gets by Beech Grove

May 13, 2022: Speedway, IN 46224

Spectators at Friday's league match between the Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN) and the visiting Beech Grove Hornets (Beech Grove, IN), witnessed Speedway's softball squad tip Beech Grove by a count of 6-5.

The Sparkplugs now sport a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Ben Davis for a non-league match on Monday, May 16. Speedway will meet a Giants squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Plainfield (Plainfield, IN). The Giants record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Beech Grove moves to 9-10 on the season. The Hornets travel to Scottsburg (Scottsburg, IN) to meet the Warriors in a non-league match on Saturday, May 14. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 17-2. Scottsburg won 16-2 in their recent non-league match against Clarksville (Clarksville, IN)
