Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats (Evansville, IN) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their softball team get by the host South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN), 2-1 in a non-league contest.

With the triumph, Evansville Mater Dei moves its record to 13-5 on the year. The Wildcats host Jasper (Jasper, IN) to play the Wildcats in a Southern Indiana contest on Monday, May 16. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 16-7. Jasper won 12-0 in their recent league contest against Evansville Bosse (Evansville, IN)

In their next game, the Rebels play the Tell City Marksmen (Tell City, IN) in a Pocket challenge, on Tuesday, May 17. South Spencer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Marksmen enter the challenge with a 12-9 record after their 18-0 league loss to Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN).
