The Elmwood Royals baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Van Buren Black Knights to 7 in the Royals non-league victory on Saturday.

The Royals (10-8) will now prepare for their match against Otsego (Tontogany, OH). The Knights go into the Northern Buckeye match with a 15-8 record. In their last challenge, Otsego was nudged by Lake (Millbury, OH), 6-5, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Van Buren falls to 13-11 on the season. The Black knights travel to Riverdale (Mt. Blanchard, OH) to encounter the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 17. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 16-7. Riverdale won 6-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Ridgemont (Mount Victory, OH)
