The Skowhegan River Hawks got by the visiting Brewer Witches softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Saturday's league battle.
The River Hawks (10-0) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Blue (Farmington, ME). The Cougars go into the Class A North battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Mt. Blue was edged by Leavitt (Turner, ME), 15-1, in a non-league battle.
The Witches now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bangor for a Class A North battle on Monday, May 15. Brewer will meet a Rams squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Rams record now stands at 4-5.
