Carmel Greyhounds (Carmel, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 5-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Munster for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. Carmel will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-13.

With the loss, Crown Point falls to 17-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host New Palestine (New Palestine, IN) to face the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 16-4. New Palestine won 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Pendleton Heights (Pendleton, IN)
