In Saturday's non-league contest, the Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY) softball team overwhelmed the host Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY), by a margin of 6-1.

With the triumph, Corbin moves its record to 22-7 on the year. The Redhounds travel to East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY) to play the Jaguars in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 13. The Jaguars come into the contest with a record of 20-4. East Jessamine won 10-5 in their recent non-league contest against Madison Southern (Berea, KY)

In their next game, the Warriors play the Cumberland Redskins (Cumberland, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 13. Southwestern will attempt to move on its 9-17 season record. The Redskins come into the contest with a 4-1 record after their 13-3 non-league win over Adair County (Columbia, KY).
