Wilmot Panthers (Wilmot, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Monroe Cheesemakers (Monroe, WI), 9-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they host Delavan-Darien for a Southern Lakes challenge on Monday, May 15.

With the loss, Monroe falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Cheesemakers travel to Oconomowoc (Oconomowoc, WI) to battle the Raccoons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. The Raccoons enter the challenge with a record of 10-7. Oconomowoc won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Waukesha North (Waukesha, WI)
