The Plainfield Central Wildcats softball team scored 18 runs and limited the host Montini Catholic Broncos to 13 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Plainfield Central moves its record to 8-18 on the year. The Wildcats host Romeoville (Romeoville, IL) to clash with the Spartans in a Suburban Prairie - South game on Monday, May 15. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 5-15. Romeoville won 17-1 in their recent league game against Joliet Central (Joliet, IL)

In their next game, the Broncos clash with the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros (Chicago, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 17. Montini Catholic will attempt to move on its 11-11 season record. The Cristeros come into the game with a 4-6 record after their 17-7 non-league win over Christ the King (Chicago, IL).
