The Janesville Craig Cougars baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Beloit Memorial Purple Knights to 3 in the Cougars non-league victory on Monday.

The Cougars (12-6) will now prepare for their match against Vel Phillips Memorial (Madison, WI). The Spartans go into the Big Eight match with a 15-4 record. In their last match, Vel Phillips Memorial was overwhelmed by Verona (Verona, WI), 5-2, in a league match.

The Purple Knights (1-12) will now prepare for their match against Union Grove (Union Grove, WI). The Broncos go into the Southern Lakes match with a 16-4 record. In their last match, Union Grove edged Slinger (Slinger, WI), 13-2, in a non-league match.
