The Salem Lions baseball team (Salem, IN), was overwhelmed 10-2 in Monday's league outing with the host Charlestown Pirates (Charlestown, IN)

The Pirates now hold a 10-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seymour for a non-league outing on Tuesday, May 14. Charlestown will face a Owls team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Jennings County (North Vernon, IN). The Owls record now stands at 11-7.

Next, the Lions face the Borden Braves (Borden, IN) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, May 14. Salem will attempt to advance on its 9-10 season record. The Braves enter the outing with a 11-10 record after their 10-3 league win over New Washington (New Washington, IN).
