In Monday's non-league game, the host Plainfield Panthers baseball team scored a tight 8-7 victory over the Putnam Clippers.
The Panthers (4-15) will now prepare for their game against Killingly (Killingly, CT). The Redmen go into the non-league game with a 8-9 record. In their last game, Killingly tipped New London (New London, CT), 6-0, in a league game.
The Clippers (7-11) will now prepare for their game against Westbrook (Westbrook, CT). The Knights go into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
