Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Turkey Valley Trojans (Jackson Junction, IA), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings (Vinton, IA) in a non-league test, on Monday, May 13. Solon will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 3-15 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Solon (Solon, IA).

With the loss, Turkey Valley drops to 3-9 on the season.
