Spectators at Monday's league match between the South Bend Adams Eagles (South Bend, IN) and the host Bremen Lions (Bremen, IN), witnessed South Bend Adams's softball squad tip Bremen by a count of 4-3.
The Eagles now sport a 7-14 record.
With the loss, Bremen moves to 11-11 on the season. The Lions travel to LaVille (Lakeville, IN) to meet the Lancers in a non-league match on Monday, May 20. The Lancers go into the match with a record of 1-16.

Lady Lions Suffer last NIC defeat to SB Adams on Senior Night 4-3
The Bremen Lady Lions Softball team honored Cancer patients, survivors, and remembered family members prior hosting S.B. Adam at Pfeiffer Field on Wednesday Night. In addtion to this being their last NIC Conference game, it was Senior Night honoring their 6 Senior team members.
The Lions took a one run lead in the 3rd after Senior Peyton Mason was hit by a pitch and scored after a 2 base error off the bat of Senior Mickie Shively. Adams took the lead scoring 2 in the 4th inning after a pair of hits, then two outs & two more hits. Bremen showed their GRIT by scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th after two outs, Mason doubled, Shively singled scoring Mason & Chrissy Grabowski singled in Shively.
Adams then added a pair of runs in the top of the 7th to take the lead. The Lions threatened in the bottom of the frame, but were unable to tie or take the lead.
