Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Linton-Stockton Miners (Linton, IN) and the visiting West Vigo Vikings (West Terre Haute, IN), witnessed Linton-Stockton's softball squad tip West Vigo by a count of 8-4.

The Miners now sport a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Terre Haute South Vigo for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 14. Linton-Stockton will meet a Braves squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Northview (Brazil, IN). The Braves record now stands at 16-9.

With the loss, West Vigo moves to 16-9 on the season. The Vikings travel to Northview (Brazil, IN) to meet the Knights in a Western Indiana match on Tuesday, May 14. The Knights go into the match with a record of 9-11. Northview lost 11-0 in their recent non-league match against Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN)
