The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Mackinaw City Comets (Mackinaw City, MI) and the host North Michigan Christian Academy Comets (Burt Lake, MI), saw Mackinaw City's softball squad nip North Michigan Christian Academy by a count of 17-14.

The Comets now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alanson for a Northern Lakes match on Friday, May 17.

With the loss, North Michigan Christian Academy falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Atlanta (Atlanta, MI) to face the Huskies in a non-league match on Thursday, May 16. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 7-2.
