Waltonville Spartans (Waltonville, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Eagles (Sandoval, IL), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 22-8 record. They take the field next when they host Norris City-Omaha-Enfield for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 15. Waltonville will face a Fighting Cardinals squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Wayne City (Wayne City, IL). The Fighting Cardinals record now stands at 12-13.

With the loss, Odin/Patoka/Sandoval falls to 9-12 on the campaign.
