The Whitewater Whippets got by the host Palmyra-Eagle Panthers softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Whippets (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against Clinton (Clinton, WI). The Cougars go into the Rock Valley - Rock battle with a 6-13 record. In their last battle, Clinton was edged by Edgerton (Edgerton, WI), 5-3, in a league battle.
The Panthers now possess a 10-11 record. They play next when they host Rio for a Trailways - South battle on Tuesday, May 14. Palmyra-Eagle will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Parkview (Orfordville, WI). The Vikings record now stands at 2-13.
