Stratford Tigers (Stratford, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wausau East Lumberjacks (Wausau, WI), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 16-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wittenberg-Birnamwood for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. Stratford will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Antigo (Antigo, WI). The Chargers record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Wausau East falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks host Stevens Point (Stevens Point, WI) to battle the Panthers in a Wisconsin Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 17-1.
