The Madison Bulldogs overwhelmed the host Colman-Egan C-E Hawks softball squad by a count of 19-2 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bulldogs meet the Flandreau Fliers (Flandreau, SD) in a Class A challenge, on Thursday, May 15. Madison will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Fliers go into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD).
The C-E Hawks (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against McCook Central/Montrose (Salem, SD). The Fighting Cougars go into the Class B challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, McCook Central/Montrose toppled Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD), 9-3, in a league challenge.
