In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Mechanicsburg Indians softball team scored a tight 5-1 win over the Elgin Comets.

The Indians (7-10) will now prepare for their match against Northridge (Johnstown, OH). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 5-19 record. In their last match, Northridge nipped Grandview Heights (Columbus, OH), 14-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Hardin Northern Polar Bears (Dola, OH) in a Northwest Central match, on Wednesday, May 14. Elgin will attempt to better on its 7-13 season record. The Polar Bears come into the match with a 15-5 record after their 8-5 non-league loss to Spencerville (Spencerville, OH).
