The Buckeyes (13-7) will now prepare for their bout against Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH). The Senators go into the non-league bout with a 11-13 record. In their last bout, Portsmouth West gained a win over Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington (Ripley, OH), 10-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Lancers battle the Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Hocking bout, on Friday, May 16. Federal Hocking will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record. The Tornadoes go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Meigs (Pomeroy, OH).
