Connecticut High School Softball - Simsbury edges Lewis Mills

In Tuesday's league match, the host Simsbury Trojans softball team scored a tight 3-1 win over the Lewis Mills Spartans.

The Trojans (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT). The Lions enter the Central Connecticut - South contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Northwest Catholic by Farmington (Farmington, CT), 16-2, in a league contest.

The Spartans now hold a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Avon for a Central Connecticut - South contest on Wednesday, May 14. Lewis Mills will face a Falcons squad coming off a 15-2 league win over Platt (Meriden, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 10-3.
