St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Saint Viator Lions (Arlington Heights, IL), 11-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, St. Francis upgrades its record to 19-4 on the year. The Spartans travel to Trinity (River Forest, IL) to play the Blazers in a GCAC-White game on Wednesday, May 14. The Blazers enter the game with a record of 2-16. Trinity lost 3-2 in their recent non-league game against Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL)

The Lions now own a 9-20 record. They play next when they travel to Harvest Christian Academy for a non-league game on Thursday, May 15. Saint Viator will play a Lions squad coming off a 18-12 league win over Christian Liberty (Arlington Heights, IL). The Lions record now stands at 11-12.
