Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Knox Redskins (Knox, IN), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Kougars now own a 11-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chesterton for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 17. Kankakee Valley will face a Trojans squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Highland (Highland, IN). The Trojans record now stands at 7-9.

With the loss, Knox falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to LaVille (Lakeville, IN) to face the Lancers in a Hoosier North challenge on Monday, May 17. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 9-11. LaVille lost 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Northfield (Wabash, IN)
