Paris Tigers (Paris, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL), 4-0 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Red Hill for a Little Illini challenge on Saturday, May 15. Paris will face a Salukis squad coming off a 11-9 league loss to Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IL). The Salukis record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Marshall falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Richland County (Olney, IL) to face the Tigers in a Little Illini challenge on Monday, May 17. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-7. Richland County won 11-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Fairfield (Fairfield, IL)
