Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) and the visiting General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA), saw Girard's baseball squad beat General McLane by a margin of 8-3.
Coming up next, the Yellowjackets play the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 battle, on Monday, May 16. Girard will attempt to better on its 5-12 season record. The Lakers enter the battle with a 10-6 record after their 5-4 league loss to Fairview (Fairview, PA).
The Lancers now sport a 2-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harbor Creek for a District 10 Region 5 battle on Monday, May 16. General McLane will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Meadville (Meadville, PA). The Huskies record now stands at 8-8.
