The Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) baseball the visiting Holy Redeemer Royals (Wilkes-Barre, PA), 5-1 in Saturday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) in a Lackawanna 1 contest, on Tuesday, May 17. Valley View will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Comets come into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 9-0 non-league win over Holy Redeemer (Wilkes-Barre, PA).

The Royals now sport a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Pittston for a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 17. Holy Redeemer will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA). The Patriots record now stands at 14-4.
